PROOFREADING
Your work will be thoroughly searched for typographical and grammatical errors, punctuation mistakes, inconsistent format, misspelled words (including incorrect word usage), letter or sentence spacing errors, and errors in numerical and alphabetical sequences. This is the final phase of editing. $2 per page.
CRITIQUING
A critique is an overall assessment of your manuscript that pinpoints its strengths and weakness. Problem areas (such as holes in the plot, poor transitions, areas that lack coherency, and more) will be flagged and suggestions for improvement made. If desired, a professional opinion of the manuscript's potential for acceptance by an agent or publisher can be given. $3 per page.
COPYEDITING
This level of editing includes everything covered in a proofread. In addition, your manuscript will be carefully reviewed for clarity, logic, word choice, redundancies, and maintenance of tone or voice. Sarah will correct continuity problems and make sure sources are cited for all statistics and quotations. If awkwardly worded sentences or sentence fragments are found, Sarah will make suggestions for revision. $4 per page.
Payment is due at the time of hire. Prices are based on pages that are double-spaced and in 12-point font. If your work is in any other format, we can do a word count to provide you with a quote (250 words = 1 page).
Please do not submit manuscripts that contain vulgar or erotic material.
